Starting a Task & Updating In Transit
Start the correct task when you begin travelling to that pickup or delivery. Make the update while safely parked.
1. Open the assigned task from the Tasks list.
2. Check whether it is a pickup or delivery, and review the address, contact, reference, skid count and instructions.
3. Tap Start Task at the bottom of the task screen, or the equivalent control in your version.
4. Verify that the task changes from Assigned to Transit/In Transit.
5. Use Navigate/Directions to open your navigation app if needed, and review the route for your truck.
FOR MULTI-STOP WORK
Update the correct leg as you begin it. Completing a pickup does not mean the delivery is complete. Do not assume location tracking automatically changes the task status.
IF THE STATUS DOES NOT CHANGE
Check connectivity, refresh the task and notify dispatch with the task reference. Do not repeatedly create or duplicate tasks.
Use the task’s contact controls for a necessary site call or message when safe. Report delays, incorrect details or appointment issues to dispatch promptly.
